The primary purpose of the material handling role is to perform the electronic and physical movement of material from receiving goods inwards to issuing goods outwards in a safe and accurate manner.
We are seeking candidates who are willing to work on a rotating shift pattern.
This contract role is for a period of up to 6 months. Key Responsibilities:
Goods inwards
Receive materials, reconcile goods to delivery note & book in.
Ensure that items are appropriately protected and labelled accordingly.
Put away materials in correct locations with care and attention.
To process goods in a timely manner whist upholding quality standards to prevent a backlog.
Goods outwards
Accurately pick and transact any kitting requirements in a timely manner.
Ensure that labels clearly identify the part, related work order or destination as appropriate.
Liaise with production to ensure kits are delivered to the right destinations on time.
Preparation and issuing of palletised and high level assembly (HLA) goods to production.
General
Follow procedures that maintain stock accuracy with correct data entry for transactions.
Transact and locate goods with a high level of accuracy and care to get right first time, every time.
Perform cycle counting to maintain stock accuracy, reporting and investigating stock variations.
Ensure parts ‘returned to stock’ (RTS) are accurately transacted and correctly located in stock.
Maintain records of vendor consignment stock parts for auditing purposes.
Provide support to other departments in the movement of material.
Provide cover to the Packing team during absences and busy periods.
Work on a rotating shift pattern in line with the rota notified to you by your Team Leader. Person Specification – Essential requirements unless stated
English and Maths to numeracy and literacy. Computer literate. Clear communicator. Able bodied, as some lifting is < 25kgs involved in the job. OneWorld / Enterprise 1 or other ERP system preferred.
FLT and pallet stacker licence preferred. Able to work in a team who positively contributes to achieve departmental and company goals. Tidy and clean in appearance and can uphold standards of maintaining a clean working environment. Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude to work.
