About the role



We are seeking an Analogue Electronics Engineer for our facility in London, UK. You will be a key member of the R&D team that develops new technologies for applications in medical devices and radio wave communications, including biosensing, MRI enhancing, 5G communications, and scientific instruments. Your role will be to develop analogue circuits for sensor readout, as well as build and test hardware for prototyping and manufacturing new device prototypes based on discrete off the shelf components. You will be working hands-on within a diverse, multi-disciplinary team.



While the pandemic is ongoing, we expect the candidate to be based in or near London but can work from home 1-2 days a week on average.



Key Responsibilities:


Design, inspect, test, and update electronic systems, components, equipment, and software Read design specifications and technical drawings Research suitable solutions and estimate costs and timescales Liaise with engineers, other professionals, as well as clients to ensure quality projects are completed to specifications. Ensure all equipment and products meet health and safety regulations. Record, analyze and interpret test data Observe existing processes and making recommendations for improvement. Show initiative and keeping up with advancements in Electronics. Monitor processes, systems, and staff, and punctually identify problems. Establish relationships with staff, vendors, suppliers, and other professionals in the field. Write specifications, instructions, reports, and evaluate results, proposing improvements Examine needs on new equipment, calculate costs and help prepare budgets

Qualifications & Experience:


Degree in electrical or electronic engineering or equivalent 7+ years’ experience in electronics design and testing

Technical competencies/ skills:



Essential:


Experience in multi-layer PCB design (OrCAD, Altium, Eagle, etc.) Experience in analogue amplifiers and analogue to digital converters Experience with data acquisition systems

Preferable:


Embedded C or equivalent embedded systems programming Experience with optical sensors Experience with microcontrollers Experience with custom DC power supply design
