Overview:

Full-time/Part-time , Fixed Term position until February 2023 Salary Level Academic Level A + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University

About You
The Research Assistant will undertake research activities in line with the University’s research strategy. The position will carry out independent and/or team research which has a significant impact in the area of composite and reinforced concrete materials and structures, and be acknowledged at a national level as being influential in expanding the knowledge of the discipline.


To be successful in this position, you’ll have as a minimum:


Excellent background in composite materials and structures, and ability to perform advanced structural analysis, numerical simulation and experimental study. Evidence of research output including publications, conference contributions and/or technical reports in the field. Ability to generate alternative funding projects through effective liaison with industry and government. Ability to work autonomously whilst displaying a strong commitment to work in a team environment, including the demonstrated ability to confidently and effectively work with colleagues, project team leaders, and industry partners. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage varying workloads and respond to changing priorities as required. Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills.
