About the Job:


We are looking for a passionate Laboratory Technologist - New Product Introduction expert with a strong desire to be a part of a growing company. You will own the transfer of many reagent products from R&D to production. As part of the transfer, you will be responsible for a variety of studies, deliverables, and technician training to ensure the successful commercialization of the reagent products. You will also support the continuous improvement and scale-up of released reagent products.

Responsibilities:


Develop, own, and execute NPI activities for reagent products Design and execute studies to support successful commercialization (such as shelf life), gage R&R, shipping stability and guard-banding Build process flow maps and continually identify improvement opportunities Create work instructions and train laboratory technicians on new products and processes Identify and drive improvements in productivity including yield, scrap, re-work, and downtime. Design/source effective packaging and labelling while working with marketing on design. Identify and implement new technologies into the process to support both new products and high year-over-year growth. Develop IQC/OQC methods and documents Lead process FMEAs Proform process verification and validation Manage technical relationships with critical suppliers Establish technical purchasing specifications Ensure effective batch-record tracking Enter and organize product information in quality management systems (i.e. Propel)


Qualifications:


BS or MS in chemical, biotech, nano or similar 5+ years of active experience in similar role Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated, highly organized, high sense of urgency and accountability Excellent written and oral communication skills Demonstrate problem-solving and risk management skills

ISO 13485 / medical devices High mix / low volume reagent production Lab automation equipment Lean Six Sigma LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System)
