Projects

Graphene optoelectronics: Ultra-low threshold Polariton laser from Graphene metamaterial, femtosecond lasing, broadband tunable light sources based on topological defects, graphene for neural stimulation and recording. This work is on-going at Caltech and is in collaboration with UCLA Center for Nanosystems Institute. 2. Graphene metamaterial for EMI shielding (with Northrop Grumman)- for stealth applications and on-chip EMI shielding. 3. N-doped Graphene for Energy Storage in Lithium Ion battery and supercapacitors. Scherer Nanofabrication Lab, Caltech (2015-2017)1. Design and fabrication of implantable wireless sensors for Na+, K+ ions and metabolic sensing with Glucose Oxidase and lactate oxidase for continuous health monitoring. 2. Design and COMSOL simulation of Nanopillar arrays for integrated electrochemical sensing and Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) based sensing of small molecules. 3. Fabrication of Nanoscale Optoelectronic Neural Probes for optical communication of Neuronal signals. Demirci BAMM Lab, Harvard University (2013-2014) 1. Optical Sensors based on Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance (LSPR) for HIV antibody and Epilepsy drug concentration in blood. 2. Sperm Cell capture on microfluidic lab-on- chip using for forensics.(Published in Science Advances)
