His primary research interests include synthesis of biodegradable nanomaterials for metallic implants, nanoparticles, metal-ceramic nanocomposite materials, thin films, nanocatalyst for multi-wall carbon nanotube (CNT) array growth, magnetic property measurement of nanolaminated semiconductor thin films, mechanical property characterization of Mg-based biodegradable metal alloys for medical implants, fracture behavior of coatings, Transparent conductive Oxide (TCO) coatings, Chrome protection clear coatings, mechanical and microstructural characterization of coatings, thermal analysis, corrosion study and tribological behavior analysis of coatings . His expertise include Pulsed laser deposition (PLD), Magnetron Sputtering, Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), Sol-Gel method, Electron Microscopy, X-Ray Diffraction, Raman Spectroscopy, Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), Nanoindentation and TGA-DSC.
